How To End Your Vacation And Reenter Everyday Life

Taking a vacation can often be “just what the doctor ordered” for many of us, as it allows us to get away from the rigors of our regular routine and take some time away to relax and get reenergized – but as wonderful as a vacation can be, one thing about a vacation that is often a bit difficult is the end, when you leave the “vacation mindset” and are suddenly forced to enter into everyday life once again. More often than not, anyone returning from a vacation will eventually be able to get back into the swing of things – but it is a whole lot better to cut out the “eventually,” and to instead figure out how to assimilate yourself back into your regular life in a quick and seemless manner.

When it comes to reentering your everyday life on the tail end of your vacation, the first key is to make sure that you are fully enjoying the vacation itself; if you spend all of the vacation thinking about “how little time you have left” in the vacation, and how you don’t want it to end, the end will actually come more quickly, and you will get a lot less out of the vacation itself.

The next step will need to be taken upon your return from the vacation, as you will want to do everything you can to ensure that you are transitioning back into your regular schedule; a lot of people fail to get back into the swing of things for a while largely because they neglect to pick back up with their schedule, and you can avoid this mistake yourself by simply sticking to your routine – no matter how difficult this is at first.

And lastly, you will want to keep an eye on your attitude and the way you are reacting to things; when you reenter your regular routine with a positive outlook, this will be much better for you than reentering your everyday life looking at everything in a negative light – so take this simple, final step, and watch as your transition becomes a whole lot easier.

Tips For Making The Most Of Your Vacation

When you take a vacation, it is always a disappointment if you return home at the end of the trip and feel like there were things you missed out on – like you did not quite “make the most” of your vacation – and even though every different vacation is unique to itself, there are still certain things that you should keep in mind on any vacation to ensure that you are getting the most out of it. When you take these tips and apply them to your own vacations, you will not only be able to have fun on your vacations, but you will also be able to return home feeling like you made the absolute most of them!

A lot of people make the mistake of failing to truly relax the way they should during vacation; instead, they spend time thinking about how much they are spending, or they worry about other problems, or they get so busy trying to “do things,” they forget to take the time to unwind – so when you plan a vacation, make sure you also plan to make time for relaxing!

On the other hand, a lot of people spend so much energy emphasizing “relaxing” during their vacation that they end up doing nothing else, and while this feels nice during the vacation itself, you will have memories that last much longer if you also make time to “see thing” and “do things.”

And finally, if you want to make the most of your vacations, you will have to plan to be flexible; you never know how things might change throughout your vacation, and the more flexible you are, the more fun you will be able to have.

If you are looking for a way to relax and have fun, a vacation is almost always the right answer, as it will give you a break from work and from the trappings of everyday life, but when you follow these tips, you will also be able to make sure you are getting the absolute most out of the vacations you are taking!

Relax! A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Prospects

Featured

Social media has changed Internet marketing forever! Today I want to take a few minutes to talk about profile pictures. Last week I had a quick conversation with one of my downline business partners about Facebook Marketing. She had spent about 2 hours trying to decide what picture to use for her profile image and called me for some advice. Now, first of all, spending 2 hours on a profile pictures is a great way to waste your time and keep you from actually growing your business (but we can talk about busy work later). It is always interesting to me to see how people choose to represent themselves. So I wanted to share 5 quick tips to remember when picking a profile picture.

1. Relax! and be yourself. Look at the picture of our friend on the left. He’s clean, professional and laser focused. The only problem with this picture is that we are marketing a HOME BASED business! I don’t know about you, but when I market from home, my patio or sitting on my couch … I really don’t plan on wearing a suit and tie, as I’m sure most of us would not! So be REAL. Wear what you normally wear. Be clean, wrinkle free, and decent. You want people to know who they are really working with. Don’t dress up, don’t dress down, be you.

2. SMILE :) Smile in your pictures, have fun, enjoy who you are and LOVE WHAT YOU DO. Let’s look back at our friend’s picture again (above, left). If I had to take a guess, I would probably say he’s struggling in network marketing, just missed a few credit card payments and took this picture at 6:30am, right before he left to work. That’s not the guy I really want to lead me to success. No one wants to ride in the car with flat tires, so SMILE … regardless of how many teeth you have!

3.  Use YOUR picture, No Icons. Your picture should be of you. I don’t know how many people really want to work with the “snarling bulldog” guy or with the “Cute baby picture” woman. Show people who you are, this helps to build confidence with your potential business partners. If you use an icon or picture image many people will feel that you are hiding behind your computer. People want to work with and follow people, not cool images.

4. NEVER post your MLM Logo. Using your logo next to or in place of your picture is a great way to come off like a salesperson and drive away tons of potential valuable relationships. If you want to have a job for the rest of your life … do this. For the rest of us who are serious about networking with others re-read tip #3.

5. Keep the picture “up-to-date”. Any picture you use should be within the last few years or should “reasonably” represent you. Don’t use a 1980′s magazine cover shot or you college photo if you are class of 1989. Keep your picture current and honest.

These guidelines are not rocket science, just simple basic rules to follow. Remember: First impressions are everything and in our world, a picture can be worth a thousand prospects!
